Rebecca Lynn Arrington and Harold Carey McGrath III were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 20, 2011, at Holland Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Bunn officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Michael Arrington of Holland. She is the granddaughter of Doris Gillis of Holland; Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Gillis Sr. and Peggy Arrington, all of Franklin; and the late George Arrington.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Carey McGrath Jr. of Courtland. He is the grandson of Ella Everett of Severn, N.C., and the late Bruce Everett, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Carey McGrath Sr.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a satin trumpet gown with beaded metallic lace, satin empire band with bow and a lace-up back with a chapel-length train. The two-tier fingertip length veil featured a beaded scallop edge with beaded flowers and sequins.

Courtney Wuchter of Suffolk, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Savannah Arrington of Monroe, sister-in-law of the bride; Rebecca McGrath of Courtland, sister of the groom; Amanda Pope of Suffolk, cousin of the bride; and Lauren Fanning of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Brittany Outland and Melissa Myers of Suffolk, all friends of the bride.

Allison Holyoak of Orem, Utah, friend of the bride, was honorary bridesmaid.

Flower girl was Christine Booth, cousin of the bride.

The groom’s father served as the best man.

Groomsmen were Stephen Arrington of Monroe, brother of the bride; and Mike Gividen of Virginia Beach, David Worth of Boykins, Josh Blythe of Newsoms, Jon Chapman of Douglasville, Ga., and Lewis Grant of Charlotte, N.C., all friends of the groom.

Ring bearers were Connor Fillmore and Ayden Moon, cousins of the bride.

Soloist Lauren Fanning sang “From This Moment On.”

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at the Bronco Club in Franklin.

The reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, also was held at the Bronco Club.

Pat Talbott of Carson, cousin of the bride, served as the mistress of ceremonies and Jami Gillis of Chesterfield, aunt of the bride, was food coordinator at the reception.

The couple took a honeymoon to Wyoming.

The new Mrs. McGrath is a 2007 graduate of Lakeland High School in Suffolk and attends Paul D. Camp Community College.

Her husband is a 2007 graduate of Southampton High School.

Both work for the state.
