Moore scores 25 in TA loss

VIRGINIA BEACH—Tidewater Academy’s Lamont Moore had scored 25 points and made 14 rebounds in the Warriors’ 57-49 loss to Bishop Sullivan Catholic on Tuesday.

Teammate Caleb Atkins added 10 points and had six rebounds.

The Warriors took a seven-point lead early in the first quarter before allowing the Crusaders to come back. Bishop Sullivan led by seven at the half.

The Warriors were down 11 at the start of the fourth quarter, but cut the lead to five with 3:52 left in the game.

“I was really proud they were able to come back,” said Coach Walter Westbrook. “I felt like they showed some real character.”

The loss drops Tidewater Academy to 2-1.

The Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, will host Kenston Forest.
