ISLE OF WIGHT—Nathan Silvertson led all scorers with 13 as the Isle of Wight Academy basketball team defeated Brunswick Academy 80-30 Tuesday night.

Teammate Ian Andrews scored 11 points in the win and Austin Rogers added 12.

IWA jumped out to a 26-10 lead in the first quarter led by Andrews, who had nine of the Chargers’ points in the quarter.

The Charger defense stiffened in the second half, allowing 10 points.

Michael McGuire and Rainer Marfio added six points each, while Hunter Triplett, Collin Bowden and Ben Epps each scored seven. Epps went five-for-five from the free-throw line.

The win moves the Chargers to 2-0. IWA will take on Portsmouth Christian at home at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.
