COURTLAND—Southampton High School Volleyball Coach Chad Brock was named Coach of the Year for the Southside District.

Brock led the girls to their first district title and first win in the region tournament. The Lady Indians in the second round of the region tournament lost 3-1 to Chancellor, ending their season 18-1.

Southampton’s Marisa Cabell was named to the district’s First Team. Her sister, Madison Cabell and Candace Earls were chosen for the Second Team. Honorable Mention went to Madeleine Kahle and Kaylee Edwards.

Morgan Crewe of Greensville was named Player of the Year.
