FREDRICKSBURG—No Southampton High School runners qualified for the state meet during Wednesday’s Region A qualifier at Loriella Park in Fredricksburg.

The boys finished 10th out of 11 teams, ahead of Prince Edward. Out of 83 runners, Southampton’s Jeffrey Vincent led with a 70th-place finish followed by Bryan Draper 71st, Treshaun Chappell 74th, Kevin Watford 75th and Daniel Lowdermilk 78th.

“The times that they ran were around their season average times,” said Coach Scott Edwards.

In the girls’ race, Kelsey Thomas finished 69th and Kirstyn Andrew finished 76th out of 79 runners.
