WAKEFIELD-Tidewater and Southampton academies will renew hostilities tonight as the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Tournament begins and adds post-season intensity to the rivalry.

No. 3 seed Tidewater will take on No. 6 seed Southampton Academy at 6 in Wakefield less than a week after the Lady Raiders beat Tidewater 3-1 in Courtland.

The winner of the first round match will travel to Farmville for the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
