COURTLAND—Southampton High School’s volleyball team at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, will host Greensville during the opening game of the Southside District Tournament.

The Lady Indians, who are 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the district, are ranked No. 1. Greensville is ranked No. 4.

The winner will play at 7 p.m. Thursday against either No. 2-ranked Prince Edward or No. 3 Park View. If Southampton wins on Tuesday, Thursday’s game will be played at home.

Southampton on Thursday completed its regular season and took the district title after defeating visiting Prince Edward 3-0. Scores were 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Prince Edward fell to 16-4 overall and 6-2 in the district.
