FRANKLIN—The Franklin Mustangs rebounded Thursday night by beating the Windsor Knights 35-0.
On Monday night, the Mustangs lost 25-13 to the Holland Razorbacks.
Leading the way Thursday for Franklin were quarterback Rayquan Parker and running back Tyeon Ruffin, who both scored multiple touchdowns, and Joseph Pullen, who also found pay dirt.
The Mustang defense was led by linebackers Fredquan Lassiter, Denard Williams and Lynn Lawson.
Coach Rob Carter praised the offensive line play of Roy Hill, Jalen Kindred and Jonathan Hall.
“We wanted to do some different things on offense tonight, and the line blocked well,” Carter said.
Carter was matter of fact about Monday’s loss.
“It was what it was. They scored on the last play of the first half to make the score 13-7 us, and that just deflated our team. We lost our focus, and you can’t do that against a good football team like Holland.”
With a bye week coming up, the Mustangs finish the regular season with a 3-1 record.
“I think we will play Boykins in the first round of the playoffs on November 2, and that is always a tough game,” Carter said. “They are a good team, and they always come to play.”
