SHS remains unbeaten with win in South Hill

SOUTH HILL – The Park View High School volleyball team gave undefeated Southampton High School all it could handle in a five set match Tuesday.

The Lady Indians improved their record to 13-0 after defeating the Lady Dragons 3-2 with scores of 24-26, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13.

“We survived a scare tonight,” said Coach Chad Brock. “We never seemed to get into sync. We played well in spurts, but we just couldn’t sustain the momentum.”

Madison Cabell went 18-for-18 from the service line and had 12 kills. Marisa Cabell chipped in with 13 kills and four aces. Madeleine Kahle added 13 kills and two aces. Candance Earls added 20 assists and Grayson Drake had 12 assists in the win.

Brock said the Lady Indians’ match against Northampton set for Thursday, Oct. 20 has been canceled.

The Lady Indians play will battle for first play in the Southside District as they will host Prince George on Thursday, Oct. 27.
