Windsor gives up 14-0 lead in loss to Sussex

SUSSEX—Windsor gave up a 14-point lead, losing to 22-14 to host Sussex in a Tri-Rivers District game on Friday night.
Windsor is 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the Tri-Rivers District.
On Windsor’s opening kickoff, the Dukes forced a Sussex fumble and Jarrod Patterson scored on a 36-yard run. The two-point conversion failed.
Duke R.J. Edwards followed with a first-quarter, seven-yard touchdown. Oris Bower ran in for the conversion, giving Windsor a 14-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Sussex scored on a 4-yard pass. The conversion failed.
With 9:54 left in the third quarter, Sussex scored again on a 36-yard run. The two-point conversion made the game 14-14.
Sussex scored on a 12-yard run and got the two-point conversion for the win.
“The kids played hard,” said Windsor Coach Chuck Parrish. “We’ll keep working hard and we’ll get better.”
