CHRISTCHURCH—The Southampton Academy volleyball team dropped to 8-4 overall on the year with a loss on the road to Christchurch School on Tuesday.
Southampton Academy’s scores were 13-25, 25-19, 14-25 and 10-25.
“We definitely didn’t have a good night,” SA Coach Sarah Nixon said. “Christchurch is a great team, but we didn’t seem to be able to get things going offensively.”
Beth Waller had 12 assists and six kills in the loss, while Brigitte Bradshaw had seven assists and four kills.
In observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team is wearing pink uniforms to remind everyone they are “Diggin’ for a Cure.”
The team is accepting donations and sponsoring a silent auction to raise money in its fight against breast cancer.
