FARMVILLE—Southampton High School junior Lewis Mays shot a 36 on a nine-hole, par-34 course to lead the Indians to their fourth Southside District win of the season on Tuesday.

Played at Longwood University in Farmville, the tournament had Park View finishing in second, two shots behind Southampton.

Others in the top 10 for the Indians were juniors Steve Rhinard 38, Billy Britton 41 and Jordan Francis 42.

The Indians on Thursday traveled to South Hill Country Club for a district match. Results were not available as of press time. Southampton will host a district match at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Cypress Cove Country Club.
