Robert Bradshaw and Amanda Porter married Sunday, July 10, 2011, along the Nottoway River at the Bronco Club in Franklin.
A blending family ceremony took place between the groom and Destiny Carpenter, daughter of the bride and the groom. Vows were said from father to daughter.
A sand ceremony followed, symbolizing the three lives blending together to create one.
The bride is the daughter of Lynda Nash of North Carolina and the late Jay Nash Sr.
The groom is the son of Judy and Donald Robuck of Franklin and the late Fred Carpenter Sr. and Joann Bradshaw.
A memorial candle ceremony took place in remembrance of those who passed on.
The bride wore a ball gown-style dress by Michelangelo. Hand-tied bouquets featured fuchsia and white roses accented by lavender butterflies.
The bouquets and other floral arrangements were fashioned by Christina Griggs, sister of the groom.
Matron of honor was Amber Richardson of Suffolk.
Bridesmaid was Faith Bradshaw of Franklin.
Junior bridesmaids were Joanna Griggs and Destiny Carpenter, both of Franklin.
Alysa Griggs and Mary Rhoney, both of Franklin, were flower girls.
Edward Griggs Sr. of Franklin was best man.
Junior groomsmen were Edward Griggs Jr. and Timothy Rhoney, both of Franklin.
Ringbearer was William Rhoney of Franklin.
The reception décor featured balloon art, including a crisscross archway for the dance floor.
The ceremony and reception music was provided by Skytop Studio of Windsor.
The buffet-style reception included a fuchsia and white cascading wedding cake.
