Windsor remains undefeated in district

WINDSOR—Windsor boys’ baseball team remains undefeated in the Tri-Rivers District after blanking Sussex 6-0.

Winning pitcher Gavin Horton struck out 10 batters, and gave up two hits and one walk.

Duke Austin Winkles went 2-for-3 with a double, stole three bases and had two RBIs.

Horton was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Colt Copeland went 1-for-1 with two walks, two stolen bases and an RBI.

Windsor will play its final game of the regular season at 4:30 p.m. today, May 18, at Surry. The Tri-Rivers Tournament begins Monday, May 23, at Armory Field in Franklin.
