RICHMOND—The Lady Warriors suffered a tough 10-0 loss to Brunswick Academy in the semifinals of the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Tournament Friday afternoon.

Despite the loss, Tidewater Academy will host a first round game against Carlisle School in the state tournament as the No. 4 seed.

They play Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Wakefield, but coach Brent Lowe is now tasked with getting his team to forget about the loss to the No. 1 team.

“We won’t practice again until Monday,” Lowe said. “We can come back and go at it hard Monday.”

Lowe said his team faced a dominant pitcher and a team that hit very well Friday.

“They were too much for us today,” Lowe said.
