FARMVILLE—Tidewater Academy baseball couldn’t withstand a late-game comeback by Fuqua School and lost 6-5 Tuesday.

Fuqua’s Davis Cyrus pitched a complete game and recorded 10 strikeouts. TA’s Josh Clarke pitched five innings and gave up one run, but ended up with a no decision. Pitcher Jimmy Rogers suffered the loss.

The Warriors carried a 5-1 lead into the final inning. Fuqua managed five runs in the final frame for the win.

Cyrus went 1-for-3 from the plate for the Falcons with a triple and three RBIs. TA’s Wade Parham hit 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Tidewater Academy falls to 11-4 on the year and 9-4 in Virginia Commonwealth Conference play.
