Earls throws 2-hitter for Southampton High

SOUTH HILL—Southampton High School’s Candace Earls gave up two hits and four walks during the Lady Indians’ 10-2 win over Park View on Thursday.
“We bounced back after the (8-1 extra-inning loss) to Powhatan on Wednesday with a good victory over Park View,” said Southampton Coach Susan Melbye.
The Lady Indians had 11 hits. Katie Ferguson went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Emily Nelson went 2-for-4 with one run and two RBIs.
Madison Cabell went 2-for-4 with one run, two doubles and three RBIs.
The Lady Indians will host Sussex at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 11.
