COURTLAND—The Southampton Academy varsity soccer goalie Thomas Taylor saved two penalty kicks, which preserved a 1-1 tie with Fuqua School Tuesday.

The Raiders opened up the scoring in the first half off of a goal by senior Michael Milteer. Miscommunication in the second half led to the only Fuqua goal of the match.

The tie gives the varsity team a 1-3-2 record on the year.

The Raiders’ junior varsity team shut out Fuqua 2-0 Tuesday. The team drops to 1-4 on the season.
