Warriors continue winning streak

WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy baseball team followed its Friday shutout of Surry County with a 17-7 victory over winless Kenston Forest School.

The Warriors’ Wade Parham accounted for six runs in the win. He went 3-for-4 with a triple, five RBIs and scored once. TA had 16 hits as a team.

James Price picked up the win by pitching four innings, allowing three runs and striking out eight. He is 2-0 on the year. Hunter Haywood pitched two innings in relief.

In the Friday contest, TA scored eight runs and gave up none.

For the Warriors, Price went 2-for-2 with one double. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. Joey King also went 2-for-2 and scored twice.

Pitcher Josh Clarke picked up the win. He pitched two innings and struck out three.

Price also pitched two innings and had five strikeouts. In addition, pitcher Jimmy Rogers threw two innings and had four strikeouts. Haywood had three strikeouts in one inning.
