POWHATAN—Southampton High School goalie David Strozier has made a total of 19 saves during two soccer games played this season.

The Indians on Monday lost 8-0 to Powhatan and on March 25, 5-0 to Bluestone.

“We have started very slow this season,” said Southampton Coach Scott Edwards. “I am only returning five out of 20 varsity players from last year. We are very young at most positions, and we have faced two of the toughest teams in the district.”

The Indians travel to today, April 6, to Park View for a 6 p.m. match and Prince Edward on Friday, April 8, for 6 and 7:30 p.m. matches.
