Lady Warriors fall 9-1 to Kenston Forest

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Academy’s softball team lost 9-1 to Kenston Forest in a Virginia Commonwealth Conference game Monday.

KFS scored two runs in the second, three runs in the third, two runs in the fourth, one run in the fifth, and a run in the sixth inning on 10 hits and no errors.

TA scored its only run in the first inning and had four hits and eight errors.

The winning pitcher was Amber Gibson, and the losing pitcher was Taylor Warner (3-2).

KFS standouts were S. Barker, who went 3-for-4, including a double. She also scored a run and made 2 RBIs. Also for KFS, Hannah Hayes went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

KFS’ record is 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the VCC. TA is 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the VCC.
