Tidewater baseball team improves to 6-1

WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy baseball team shut out Surry 8-0 on Friday.
Tidewater Academy improved its record to 6-1 and 4-1 in Virginia Commonwealth Conference play.
For the Warriros, James Price went 2-for-2 with one double. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. Joey King also went 2-for-2 and plated twice.
Pitcher Josh Clarke picked up the win. He pitched two innings and struck out three.
Price also pitched two innings and had five strikeouts. In addition, pitcher Jimmy Rogers threw two innings and had four strikeouts. Hunter Haywood had three strikeouts in one inning.
