Patterson-Wezah

Mattie McKay Patterson and Zekotsolo Wezah were married at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Manzanillo Garden in Baguio City, Philippines.

Dr. Gilbert Montecastro and the Rev. George Cao officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Frank and Sharon Patterson of Sedley.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiwete Wezah.

Godparents of the groom are Antonio and Gina Dee.

The bride’s satin bridal gown was designed and hand-sewn in the Philippines, with cathedral-length, off-the-shoulder styling and hand-embellished beaded pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white asters.

Vocal music, with guitar and keyboard accompaniment by In Ae Lee and Cung San Aung, was provided by Maker Kashung.

Maid of honor was Amy Grace Bautista and matron of honor was Krisie Palitang.

Attendants wore hand-designed knee-length red gowns of satin.

Lumen Cao was the mistress of ceremonies.

Rushulo Seb served as best man and Zhopota Rhakho served as groomsman.

Aisle flowers of red roses and white calla lilies adorned the garden path and surrounding area.

The ceremony was held under an ornate gazebo decorated with cascading greens and flowers. The altar table was set with candles, which were lit by the bride’s mother and the groom’s godmother prior to the bride’s processional.

The bride was escorted by her father to the medley of “I’ll Be.”

The 1 Corinthians 13:5-8 was read in Khezha, the language native to the groom’s home in Nagaland, India.

The couple lit the unity candle while Kashung sang “I’ll Be Right There.”

A luncheon reception followed in the garden. The tables were decorated with black, white and red, reflecting the colors of the wedding.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Colione Bed and Breakfast in Baguio City.

After a honeymoon in Bohol, Philippines, the couple currently resides in Baguio City.
