Peck hits game-winning double for Southampton JV

SKIPWITH—Southampton High junior varsity player Tyler Peck hit a double in the top of the eighth inning to bring in the game-winning run against Bluestone on Tuesday.

The Indians won 7-6.

The game went back and forth for the seven innings. Trailing by 2 in the top of the seventh, the Indians behind the bat of Jacob Blair’s two-out double plated two and sent the game into extra innings.

Brandon Sprinkle, who was pinch running for Garrett Lassiter who had singled to keep the inning alive, scored the winning run off Peck’s hit.

Hunter Peck and Dillon Hasty teamed up to pitch the game.
