BLACKSTONE—The Lady Raiders of Southampton Academy lost to conference foe Kenston Forest 5-1 Friday.
The only offense for SA came as Whitley Smith crossed the plate on an RBI hit by Taylor Bradshaw.
The loss drops SA to 2-3 on the year.
Coach Jeb Bradshaw said his team could not find timely hitting against Kenston Forest.
“We found it hard to manufacture runs,” Bradshaw said. “We got girls on base, but we couldn’t get them across the plate.”
The Lady Raiders’ Monday game against Alliance Christian was postponed due to field conditions and weather concerns. Bradshaw doesn’t when the game will be rescheduled.
The Lady Raiders will travel to Blessed Huguenot Sacrament for a 4:30 p.m. game today, March 30.
