Falon gets first win for Tidewater

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Academy pitcher Falon Williams got her first varsity career win Monday, giving up 3 hits in 5 innings while walking 6 batters from Blessed Sacrament Huguenot and striking out 4.

The Lady Warriors defeated visiting Blessed Sacrament 5-0.

The losing pitcher was Amanda Lindsey, who struck out 6 batters and walked 9.

Blessed Sacrament’s Brittany Zimmerman went 1-for-2 with a walk, and Katie Sisk went 1-for-3 with a double and a stolen base.

Tidewater scored 1 run in the first and second innings, 2 in the third and 1 in the fifth.

Blessed Sacrament had 3 hits and committed 2 errors. Tidewater Academy had 7 hits and committed 1 error.

The Lady Warriors are 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.
