Lady Warriors shut out Alliance Christian

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Academy’s Taylor Warner pitched three innings without giving up a hit during the Lady Warriors’ 10-0 season-opening win over Alliance Christian on Monday.

Warner also struck out five batters and walked one before the home crowd. She went 2-2 at the plate, scoring a run with an RBI; one of her hits was a double.

Falon Williams, who pitched the final 2 innings for the Lady Warriors during the 4½-inning game, struck out two and walked two while allowing no hits. Williams also hit a solo home run, going 2-3 at the plate, scoring 2 runs with 1 RBI.

Tidewater scored 6 runs in the first inning, 1 in the second, 2 in the third, and 1 in the fourth on 6 hits and no errors.

Alliance had no hits and committed 1 error.

The losing pitcher was C. Church.
