Lady Warriors rally from behind to beat SA

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Academy’s girls defeated Southampton Academy 43-32 during a-come-from-behind Monday night Virginia Commonwealth Conference game.

The Tidewater Lady Warriors were led by Cary Beahm’s 28 points and 21 rebounds. Taylor Pruitt and Falon Williams added 8 rebounds apiece.

For the Lady Raiders, Catherine Glover led with 14 points. Rachel Holland added 10.

Tidewater was 5-for-7 from the free-throw line and SA was 4-for-8.

The Lady Raiders led 6-4 at the end of the first quarter. The game was tied at 12-all at the half. Southampton led 24-21 at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Warriors outscored the Lady Raiders 22-8 in the final period for the win.
