Miranda Lynne Starke and Quentin James Munson were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2010, in Virginia Beach. The Rev. Steven Vornov officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Starke of Capron.

She is the maternal granddaughter of Franklin Bush of Chester and the late Delores Bush, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Starke.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Uperti of Southern Shores, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Munson of Richmond.

He is the maternal grandson of the late Alvin and Lourdine Carroll. He is the paternal grandson of the late Ronald and Nancy Ann Munson.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Maid of honor was Meghan Bell of Chesapeake, friend of the bride.

Matron of honor was Katie Cobb of Drewry-ville, friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Rush of Mechanicsville, friend of the bride; Samantha Vaughan of Capron, cousin of the bride; and Clare Mueller of Paducah, Ky., sister of the groom.

Mary Katherine Cobb, friend of the couple, and Addison Grace Munson, daughter of the couple, served as the flower girls.

Benjamin Taylor of Virginia Beach, friend of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Joseph Elliott of Virginia Beach, cousin of the groom; and Aubrey Williams of Chesapeake, Brian Spruill of Knotts Island and Ryan Williams of Virginia Beach, all friends of the groom.

Ringbearer was Tyler Mueller, nephew of the groom.

Cullen and Zachary Cobb of Drewryville laid the aisle runner prior to the bride’s entrance.

Teressa Holt of Courtland provided the wedding music.

Susan Fornicola of Norfolk, friend of the bride, served as mistress of ceremonies.

Attending the guestbook was Hollie Honea and Stacy Wilcox of Virginia Beach, both friends of the bride.

Program attendants were Emily and Ella Carroll of Moyock, N.C., cousins of the groom.

Lindsey Rush and Maryanne Francis hosted a bridal shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Francis.

Meghan Bell hosted a bridal shower at Plaza Azteca in Virginia Beach.

Katie and Joey Cobb hosted a poolside luau at their home for the wedding party and family of the bride and groom.

Bachelor and bachelorette festivities took place the weekend before the wedding in Norfolk for the bride and Chesapeake for the groom.
