WAKEFIELD—Senior Chelsea Edwards’ game-high 25 points for Isle of Wight Academy helped the Lady Chargers defeated Tidewater Academy 50-41 during a Monday night non-conference game.

Amanda Williams added 10 points for IWA.

Cary Beahm led Tidewater with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Teammate Falon Williams added 9 rebounds.

Tidewater was 5-for-11 at free-throws and IWA made 4 out of 8.

In other action, Edwards scored 20 points during the Lady Chargers’ 73-30 loss to Williamsburg Christian Academy in a Metro Conference game on Tuesday.

IWA fell to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in the conference.
