Chesterfield defeats Windsor 75-63

WINDSOR—Chesterfield improved its record to 10-2 overall and 6-0 in the Tri-Rivers District after beating Windsor 75-63 on Tuesday.

With the loss, the Windsor Dukes fell to 4-7 overall and 1-5 in the district.

Tony Walton led the Dukes with a double-double consisting of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Gavin Horton added 24 points.

CeQuan Jones led the Eagles with 26 points. Richard Smith added 15.

The Eagles had a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Dukes 18-17 in the second quarter for a 40-25 halftime lead. The Eagles extended their lead to 63-39 after the third quarter. The Dukes outscored the Eagles 24-12 in the final quarter.

The Dukes shot 60 percent from the free-throw line while the Eagles shot 38 percent.

The Dukes won the JV game against the Eagles 41-38. It was the first win in the last three years for the JV team. The Dukes are now 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the Tri-Rivers District under first-year head coach Jack Wright. The team played well and has been improving all season.
