FARMVILLE—Southampton Academy senior Catherine Glover scored 18 points during the Lady Raiders’ 42-30 Tuesday loss to Fuqua in a Virginia Commonwealth Conference game.

“It was a one-point game at halftime,” said SA Coach Chris Pope. “We kind of let the game get away from us in the third quarter, but we pressed back on them and pulled within 3. With 2½ minutes to go, we kind of fell apart.”

Senior Lady Raider Ginny Taylor led in rebounds with 8.

SA fell to 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the conference.

In junior varsity action, the Lady Raiders defeated Fuqua, improving their conference record to 5-2.
