Beahm scores 28 points for Warrior win

BLACKSTONE—Tidewater Academy’s Cary Beahm scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Lady Warriors to a 49-36 Virginia Commonwealth Conference win over Kenston Forest School on Tuesday.

Beahm also made 15 rebounds; teammates Falon Williams and Samantha Dunn added 7 each. Samantha Spain and Taylor Pruitt had 5 steals each.

The Lady Warriors also made 11 of 18 free-throw attempts.

For Kenston Forest, Savanna Baker led with 14 points. The team made 9 out of 20 free-throw attempts.

Tidewater opened with a 17-5 first quarter lead, but Kenston Forest closed in on the Lady Warriors, trailing by 10 at the half and 5 at the end of the third quarter. Tidewater outscored Kenston Forest 13-7 in the final period for the win.

The Lady Warriors are 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the conference.
