Wyche family contributes bicycles for giveaway at Capron

Four Capron Elementary students were ecstatic because they were surprised with new bikes from the Wyche family. This is the 12th year the family has given shiny new bikes to students who have participated in the Standards of Learning tests at Capron Elementary School.
Students who passed the SOL tests last school year had their names placed in a drawing for the bikes. The lucky winners were Jakob Tupea, Nijah Jennings, Joanna Whitby and Tyler Hamlin.
The Wyche family makes special donations of the bikes and Christmas food baskets as well as Thanksgiving food baskets each year in memory of their parents, Mr. Ben Wyche and Mrs. Eunice Wyche. Their mother worked as the head of the cafeteria at Capron Elementary School, and also served as secretary of the PTO for many years.
The school appreciates the Wyches’ ongoing support of and generosity to the school.
