Gun allegedly brandished at YMCA

FRANKLIN

The Franklin Police Department is seeking information related to the reported brandishing of a firearm in the YMCA parking lot on June 14.

According to Sgt. Scott Halverson, department spokesman, officers responded to the YMCA, located in the 300 block of Crescent Drive, at 10:32 p.m. that evening in response to the report of a person waiving a gun in the parking lot.

The police reportedly made contact with an individual at the scene who claimed there had been a verbal altercation between two individuals in the parking lot. It was relayed to the officers that one of the individuals involved in the alleged altercation may have had a weapon of some sort. However, police say witnesses were uncooperative.

Officers have since been unable to develop any suspects or additional information related to this event.
