FRANKLIN

Franklin Police responded at 2:53 p.m. on Friday to a call of an armed robbery in the 900 block of Armory Drive. Sgt. Scott Halverson, department spokesman, said that a female who drives a bus for The Children’s Center told police she was approached by a black male who brandished a knife, snatched her purse and ran off toward Second Avenue.

Franklin Police K-9 responded to track the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as a skinny black male, about 160 pounds, with no facial hair, wearing a white hoodie with a red undershirt and dark blue jeans. He is further described as having either white glasses or white goggles.
