A Newsoms woman has gone missing, and the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding her.
Maj. Gene Drewery, spokesman, said the office got a call on Friday at 1 p.m. from the mother of Cynthia Carver, concerned about her welfare. Units responded to Carver’s home on Everett Street.
There, deputies found evidence (blood) to suggest that a crime had occurred. The residence was secured and a search warrant obtained.
Carver, 34, was last seen on Thomaston Road in Newsoms around 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Anyone with information on Carver’s location or where she has been seen contact the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office at 653-2100 or the Crime Line 653-2900.
