NEWSOMS
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Todd Foster of Newsoms are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Brandon Todd Foster, to Karen Rochelle Preston, daughter of Ms. Rebecca Preston of Greenville, North Carolina.

Karen is also the daughter of the late William Preston and maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Raymond Stepp, and the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Preston of Louisa, Kentucky.

Brandon is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Betty Vann of Newsoms, and the late Mr. James Vann, and paternal grandson of the late Mr. James Foster and the late Charlotte Foster.

Karen graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental geology, and is employed as an Industrial Pretreatment Specialist at Greenville Utilities Commission in Greenville, North Carolina.

Brandon graduated from Southampton Academy in 2007, and later from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a history education licensure. He is now employed with Bertie County schools as a high school history teacher in Windsor, North Carolina.

The couple plans to be married in Williamston, North Carolina, at Williamston Memorial Baptist Church this December.
