HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Our beloved mother, Earthell Everett, 97, transitioned home peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the home of her son in Huntsville, Alabama.

She was born in Aiken, South Carolina, to the late Elizabeth Montaque and James Riley.
In 1949, she married the late John Lee Everett Jr. of Suffolk, Virginia. To this union were born three children, John Lee Everett III , Janet Elizabeth Everett Patterson and the late Harold Lee Everett. They lived in Brooklyn, New York, over 35 years, where Earthell was a licensed practical nurse.
After retirement, they relocated to Suffolk. While living in Suffolk, Earthell attended and was ordained as a deacon at the Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ. She was also involved in civic and Community organizations.
She enjoyed reading and studying God’s Word.
Earthell is survived by her son, John Lee Everett III; daughter, Janet Elizabeth Everett Patterson,(Floyd); grandchildren, London Womack (Kevin), Stephanie Everett, John Lee Everett IV (Melanie), Tiffaney Everett; and great-grandchildren, Kevin Womack, Cameron Womack, Paris Everett, Shayla Louis, and Shiloh Everett.
Earthell will be greatly missed.
The funeral will be on Saturday, March 25, at noon in Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ, 7945 Corinth Chapel Road, Suffolk. The committal and benediction will be in Sumner Family Cemetery.
