COURTLAND
Mr. Tom and Mrs. Donna Barksdale of Courtland are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Justin Thomas Barksdale, to Kathleen Ida May O’Connell, daughter of Mr. Daniel and Mrs. Karren O’Connell of Bumpass.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mrs. Sylvia and Mr. Alfred Faison, and the late Mr. Thomas Galtress Jr. of Franklin, and the late Mr. John and Mrs. June Barksdale of Courtland.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Hall and the late Mr. Bill Hall of Beaverdam, and the late Mr. Donald and Mrs. Rebecca O’Connell of Bumpass.

Kathleen is a graduate of St. Gertrude’s High School and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Justin is a graduate of Southampton Academy and Old Dominion University.

The future bride and groom are both employed as engineers at Dominion’s Surry Power Station.

A September wedding is planned.
