FRANKLIN
A 51-year-old Southampton County man was located on Wednesday after having been missing since April 8, said Maj. Gene Drewery, spokesman for the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Howard Edward “Butch” Raiford, who lives near Franklin, was located at approximately 5 p.m. by the Arlington Police Department. He was hospitalized and is expected to return to his home near Franklin soon.

Early Wednesday morning, the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office sent out a missing person’s report about Raiford, stating that he may be in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
