FRANKLIN
Lindsay Nichole Barnes and Brandon Edward Lilley, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter Mrs. Rhonda Landers of Alexandria, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Ron and Mrs. Barbara Hopkins of Eastaboga, Alabama. Barnes is a 2000 graduate of Southampton High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Troy University in 2009. She is a social studies teacher at Southampton High School.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Jane Lilley of Franklin. He is the grandson of the late Mr. James and Mrs. Stella Powell from Suffolk and the late Mr. Freeman and Mrs. Gertrude Jones of Emporia. Lilley is a 1999 graduate of Franklin High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech in 2009, a bachelor’s degree in biology and microbiology from Virginia Tech in 2010, and his master’s in curriculum and instruction for science education from Virginia Tech in 2011. He is science teacher at Southampton High School.

The wedding is planned for June 20 in Franklin.
