An accident on Route 460 in Zuni near the Isle of Wight County line has caused the road to be shut down in both directions until further notice. Lisa Martin, spokeswoman for the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office, said the department and other emergency service agencies responded at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday. That was soon after a tractor trailer lost control and crashed into a pole. The fuel tank was ruptured in the incident. A crew is cleaning up the diesel fuel and will remove the truck from the roadway.

There is no report of any injuries, and updates will be announced as they become available.
