Attempted robbery foiled at Love’s

The Franklin Police Department is seeking information on a man who attempted to rob the Love’s Travel Stop early this morning.

A man reportedly approached the cashier and slipped a note demanding money, implying that he had a gun, though no weapon was displayed. The cashier refused to give the suspect any money, at which time the man left the store.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black jeans, grey coat, black frame glasses with long dreadlocks down the middle of his back. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, and was last seen on foot heading toward South Street.
