Fronfelter named Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week

ISLE OF WIGHT—Aaron Fronfelter of the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8.

The Chargers, playing at home this past week, defeated Kenston Forest 39-14.

In that effort, Fronfelter accounted for three of the touchdowns, catching three passes for 133 yards receiving. Fronfelter also had one interception and played a part in a second by deflecting a ball toward another defensive back.

Fronfelter also plays on special teams as the return specialist, and helped give the Chargers favorable field position.

The runner-up is Corey Porter, the quarterback and linebacker for the Franklin High School Broncos. Porter rushed for 133 yards on the ground and had 4 touchdowns in the Broncos’ 49-48 overtime loss.
