ZUNI—David L. and Angela J. Stepp of Zuni would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Stepp, to Gary J. Briley of Zuni. He is the son of Gary H. and Sharon J. Briley of Zuni.

Samantha attended Paul D. Camp Community College and Radford University, and is a registered nurse at Obici Hospital. She is the granddaughter of Jane March of Zuni, and the late Homer Johnson, and of Freida Stepp of Louisville, Kentucky, and the late Brad Stepp.

Gary is employed by Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He is the grandson of the late Julian and Lucille Briley, who lived in Franklin, Florence Gatling of Windsor, and the late James B. Jones Jr. who lived in Hertford, North Carolina.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 25, 2014, in Smithfield.

The couple will reside in Sedley.
