FRANKLIN—Mr. and Mrs. Michael Edwards of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandi Elizabeth Edwards, to Michael Wayne Ferguson, son of Renee Duncan of Smithfield and Wayne Ferguson of Franklin.

The future bride graduated with her associate degree in nursing.

She is employed as a full-time Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Southampton Memorial Hospital, and is working toward her BSN at Old Dominion University.

The future groom is a graduate of Franklin High School.

He is an entrepreneur, is self-employed and works primarily in Norfolk.

He enjoys fishing and outdoor life in his spare time.

The couple will wed on June 21, 2014, in Richmond.

They will reside in Suffolk.
