Friday night’s rain provided a messy backdrop as the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers fell to Atlantic Shores 24-2. In the first quarter, Atlantic Shores struck first on a 59-yard TD run by Ferguson. The 2-point conversion run failed. Isle Of Wight answered with a safety for its only score of the night

The second quarter opened with Britt of Atlantic Shores scoring on a 42-yard TD run. The 2-point attempt again failed, leaving the Seahawks lead at 12-0. Atlantic Shores scored again on a 71-yard bomb from Chamberlain to Ferguson. After another failed two-point attempt, Atlantic Shores went into halftime leading the Chargers 18-0.

Both squads were held scoreless in the third quarter, and the fourth quarter’s only score belonged to Atlantic Shores as Britt scored on a 32-yard TD run. The 2-point pass was incomplete.
