EXMORE—The Isle of Wight Chargers lost 49-14 against the Broadwater Vikings. The Chargers weren’t their usual selves and made mistakes that normally wouldn’t have been made, coach Dale Chapman said.
“We didn’t play our best game,” said Coach Chapman, speaking on their loss. “They were better prepared and executed better than us.”
Some of the mistakes that made this game end up like this were the long passes by Broadwater that resulted in touchdowns, said Chapman. There were also a couple of interceptions that stopped the momentum of the Chargers, he said.
With the loss, the Chargers fall to 4-2. The Vikings improve to 5-1.
The Chargers return to Isle of Wight this upcoming Friday to face the Saints of St. Anne’s-Belfield.
