Amanda Jo Ritchey and Matthew Trenholm Hopkins are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dennis and Sheryl Ritchey of Bedford, Pa. She is the maternal granddaughter of Ronald and Mildred Rose of Bedford, and the paternal granddaughter of Marl and Jeanne Ritchey of Everett, Pa.
The groom-to-be is the son of John and Nancy Hopkins of Franklin. He is the maternal grandson of Louise Pixley of Franklin and the late W. Wayne Pixley. Matt is the paternal grandson of John and Gretchen Hopkins of Franklin and the late Phyllis V. Hopkins.
Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Bedford High School and a 2011 graduate of University of North Carolina Pharmacy School. She is employed with CVS Pharmacy in Norfolk.
Matt is a 2003 graduate of Franklin High School and a 2007 graduate of Christopher Newport University. He is employed with Southern Trust Mortgage Company in Virginia Beach.
An April wedding is planned. Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Virginia Beach.
